Job summary

Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in EYFS and Primary in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. You will assist the class teacher with small group work and pupil engagement, ensuring a supportive learning environment.

Flexible hours and a welcoming school setting are provided, with weekly pay and enhanced DBS checks to ensure safeguarding. This temporary role offers opportunities for development within the school network.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings.
• Basic first aid certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver small group tutoring or catch-up programmes.
• Help pupils stay engaged and motivated with learning.
• Work closely with the class teacher to support pupils’ individual needs.
• Undertake break and lunch time duties as directed.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues, students and parents to ensure strong communication.
