Job summary

Trust Education Limited seeks an EY/Year 1 Teaching Assistant in Huddersfield. You will support children aged 2-5 in EYFS and Year 1, working with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities and track progress.

The role emphasises a safe, inclusive environment and collaboration with staff and families. A Level 2/3 TA qualification and enhanced DBS are preferred, with flexible day-to-day or part-time options.

Qualifications

• A passion for working with young children and a genuine interest in early childhood development.
• Enhanced DBS; we can assist with processing DBS.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging learning activities that support the class.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
• Observe and track children’s progress, reporting on development to the class teacher.
• Support children with social, emotional, and physical development.
• Assist with classroom management, ensuring a tidy, organized learning space.
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help children develop social skills.
