Job summary

Premier Education is seeking reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in Tameside, Denton, Ashton-under-Lyne, Glossop and nearby areas. Roles include day-to-day and longer-term opportunities matched to your availability, with a focus on inclusion and safeguarding.

You will work with teachers to enable lessons, support different learning needs, and help children progress in a varied set of primary environments.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children, ideally in a UK primary school.
• A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• A patient, positive and flexible approach.
• Good communication and behaviour-management skills.
• Confidence supporting children with different learning needs.
• An enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• A commitment to safeguarding in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom, individually and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with lessons, activities and classroom routines.
• Help pupils remain engaged and make progress.
• Support children with additional needs where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt confidently to different schools and year groups.
