Job summary

Yorkshire Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking Primary Teaching Assistants to work in schools around Pocklington and surrounding areas on an ad-hoc basis. Part-time and full-time positions are available, with long-term and day-to-day placements. Start date is ASAP.

The role involves supporting learning across EYFS to KS2 and contributing to planning, observation and assessment. Ideal candidates will have Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, experience with EYFS, strong communication

Qualifications

Relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent). Level 3 is desirable.
Experience working with children in EYFS or nursery settings.
Understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities for children across EYFS - KS2.
Help create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment that promotes exploration, play, and early learning.
Assist in the personal, social, emotional, and educational development of young children through targeted support and encouragement.
Work closely with the class teacher and other staff and contribute to planning, observation, and assessment.
