Job summary

Yorkshire Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking passionate Teaching Assistants to join schools in Pocklington and surrounding areas on an ad hoc basis. Roles available part-time and full-time, with both long-term and day-to-day placements.

Responsibilities include supporting learning activities across EYFS to KS2, fostering a safe, encouraging environment and assisting in planning and assessment alongside teaching staff. Background checks and safeguarding knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a teaching assistant or childcare professional (Level 2/3 S&T or equivalent). Level 3 desirable.
• Experience with EYFS or nursery settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patient approach.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for early childhood development.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning activities for children across EYFS - KS2.
• Support a nurturing, safe environment promoting exploration and play.
• Support and encourage children's personal, social, emotional and educational development.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and staff in planning, observation, and assessment.
