Job summary

Premier Education Ltd is seeking enthusiastic and reliable teaching assistants for primary schools across Tameside, Denton, Ashton-under-Lyne, Glossop and nearby areas. Flexible day-to-day work and longer-term roles across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 will match your experience, availability and preferred year groups.

The role involves supporting pupils in classroom settings, assisting teachers, and promoting an inclusive, safe learning environment across multiple schools.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children, ideally in a UK primary school.
• A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Patient, positive and flexible approach.
• Good communication and behaviour-management skills.
• Confidence supporting children with different learning needs.
• An enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• A commitment to safeguarding in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom, individually and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with lessons, activities and classroom routines.
• Help pupils remain engaged and make progress.
• Support children with additional needs where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt confidently to different schools and year groups.
