Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join supportive primary schools across Huddersfield. You will work alongside class teachers to provide support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, helping create a positive learning environment where every child can succeed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, flexible and proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
• Prepare learning materials and resources.
• Encourage pupil engagement and participation.
• Support children with additional learning needs where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and assist with classroom management.
• Help to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
