Job summary

Angard Recruitment is recruiting for Royal Mail delivery driver roles in Blyth. Join as a flexible (temporary) Post Person with Driving, delivering letters and parcels across your community, combining driving with foot delivery.

Roles include walking up to 20,000 steps daily, handling mail up to 16 kg, and adapting shifts. You will drive a Royal Mail van, complete routes on foot, and may need to pass a driving assessment before starting.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts vary and you must be able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels.
• Drive your delivery round and complete parts of the route on foot.
• Deliver items securely, including election materials and items like food or alcohol per standards.
• Pass a driving assessment when you start.
