Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels, with a mix of driving and walking throughout your shift.

A full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points is required, along with fitness to walk up to 20,000 steps per day and to carry a mailbag up to 16kg. Shifts vary, and you must be flexible to adapt at short notice and pass a driving assessment

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; must be flexible and work with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your delivery area, come rain or shine.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and complete parts of your route on foot.
• Securely deliver all items and handle election materials and certain restricted goods per policy.
