Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You'll drive a Royal Mail van around your delivery area, while also walking parts of your route to deliver letters and parcels.

You’ll need a full UK manual driving licence with up to six points and be prepared for a physically active role, including walking up to 20,000 steps per day. Shifts vary and there may be potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full UK manual licence with no more than 6 points.
• Physical Fitness: able to walk up to 20,000 steps daily and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16 kg.
• Flexibility: shifts can vary; able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along a route, with parts completed on foot.
• Safely deliver all items and handle election materials in line with standards.
