Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and parcels, with parts of the route completed on foot, in your community.

You should be prepared to walk long distances, handle a mailbag up to 16kg, and pass a driving assessment at start. Shifts vary and pay rates are detailed below.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your round, on foot and by van.
• Provide excellent service and ensure safe, secure delivery to the destination.
• Deliver election materials and items (such as food or alcohol) per Royal Mail standards.
