Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine, with rounds combining driving and walking.

Roles include driving a Royal Mail van, walking up to 20,000 steps per day, and handling mailbag up to 16 kg. Shifts vary and you may be required to pass a driving assessment; great for staying active and outdoors.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Physical fitness to walk up to 20,000 steps per day and carry mailbags up to 16 kg.
• Flexible shifts and ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across delivery area, with some parts on foot.
• Securely deliver all items and handle election materials and restricted items per standards.
• Represent Royal Mail in the community and provide reliable service.
