Milk Education is recruiting a confident Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in Mansfield on a flexible, long-term, or day-to-day basis. You will be a reliable presence across the school day, delivering pre-set work and managing classroom behaviour to support pupil wellbeing.

Ideal candidates have experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, sports coach, or youth mentor with secondary pupils, with strong communication and organisation skills. commute to Nottinghamshire is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cover Supervisor, HLTA, sports coach, or youth mentor with secondary pupils.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class lessons during absence of the teacher (KS3–KS4).
• Deliver pre-set work and manage pupil engagement and behaviour.
• Maintain a structured, positive learning environment.
• Address individual student needs and respond to queries across subjects.
• Provide clear handover feedback to regular staff after each session.
• Collaborate with departmental heads and pastoral teams.
