Job summary

Milk Education in Bolton is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support a busy secondary school. You will supervise classes in the absence of teachers, follow provided work, and help maintain a calm, productive learning environment.

This role offers flexible day-to-day, short-term or long-term placements, with training and ongoing support through Milk Education. Successful candidates will have experience with secondary pupils and strong classroom management.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary pupils is desirable.
• Previous education, youth work, coaching or mentoring experience is beneficial.
• Confident communication and classroom management skills.
• Reliable, adaptable and comfortable working across different subjects and year groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise secondary school classes during teacher absence.
• Follow and deliver work provided by classroom teachers.
• Maintain a calm, purposeful and well-managed classroom.
• Support pupils to stay engaged and complete their assigned work.
