Leading whole-class lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in the absence of the timetabled teacher.
Delivering pre-set work, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and keeping pupils focused and engaged.
Upholding high expectations for learning while creating a structured, positive classroom environment.
Responding to individual student needs and supporting with general queries across a range of subject areas.
Providing clear, comprehensive handover feedback to regular teaching staff at the end of each session.
Working collaboratively as a trusted Cover Supervisor alongside departmental heads and pastoral teams in Nottingham.
Prior experience working as a Cover Supervisor, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), sports coach, or youth mentor with secondary-aged pupils.
Confident behaviour management skills with the ability to build quick rapport and de-escalate disruption.
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
Degree-educated or holding relevant educational qualifications (ideal for aspiring secondary teachers).
Available to commute easily to our partner secondary school based in Nottinghamshire.
Daily rate of £110 - £140 per day, paid weekly.
