Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Surrey, including Staines, Addlestone, and Sunbury on Thames. You will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with young people and strong communication and organisational skills; a degree is preferred but not essential. Flexible, reliable, and professional attitudes are essential for this rewarding role.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working with children or young people (school, tutoring, coaching, youth work, mentoring, etc.).
• Confident communication and organisational skills.
• An positive, adaptable, and professional attitude.
• An interest in education and potentially training to become a teacher.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning and answer general questions.
• Take attendance and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Gain experience across a variety of subjects and year groups.
