Milk Education is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in September, offering long-term or short-term placements. You will work to maintain a positive, focused learning environment when the regular teacher is absent and support pupils to reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Must have recent and relevant experience as a Cover Supervisor or working in an education setting supporting secondary-aged pupils.
• Strong classroom control and the ability to manage behaviour effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional approach.
• Must have the ability to work under the guidance of school leadership and follow lesson plans accurately.

Responsibilities

• Working as a Cover Supervisor to manage classrooms, ensuring pupils remain on-task and engaged with pre-set work.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and implementing the school’s behaviour policy consistently.
• Assisting pupils with any queries they have regarding their work and facilitating learning.
• Providing constructive feedback to the regular class teacher on pupil progress and classroom behaviour.
