Job summary

NatCen invites applications for a Biomedical Fieldworker to conduct home visits, collect health data and blood samples, and manage a self-directed schedule across UK locations. This flexible role leverages clinical skills in a public health research setting.

You'll perform measurements, document findings and ensure confidentiality while supporting nationally recognised health surveys and policy impact. DBS clearance and a valid UK driving licence are preferable.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or clinical setting.
• Venepuncture experience within the last 24 months.
• Right to work in the UK; driving licence where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Visit participants in their homes at pre-booked appointments.
• Take physical measurements (height, weight, blood pressure).
• Collect venous blood samples per clinical guidelines.
• Record accurate health data and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide a professional, friendly and reassuring experience for participants.
• Support high quality research informing public health decisions.
