NatCen is seeking a Biomedical Fieldworker (Healthcare / Phlebotomy) to visit participants in their homes across various UK locations, including Portsmouth. The role offers part-time hours (12–16 per week), £20.40 per hour, mileage reimbursement, and up to £750 bonus based on visits completed.

Qualifications

• Experience within a healthcare or clinical setting.
• Proven venepuncture experience within the last 24 months.
• Evidence of Hepatitis B immunity.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across your assigned work area (60–90 minutes).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete the required vetting process, including a DBS check.

Responsabilités

• Visiting participants in their homes at pre-booked appointments.
• Taking physical measurements (height, weight, blood pressure).
• Collecting venous blood samples per clinical guidelines.
• Recording accurate health data and maintaining confidentiality.
• Providing a professional, friendly and reassuring experience for participants.
• Supporting high quality research that informs public health decisions.
