Job summary

National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) is seeking Biomedical Fieldworkers in Nottingham to conduct home visits for health research studies. You will collect health information and venous blood samples, manage your own diary and work with flexible hours across weekdays and weekends.

The role requires healthcare experience, venepuncture skills, a valid UK driving licence, DBS clearance, and the ability to travel within the assigned area. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or clinical settings.
• Proven venepuncture experience within the last 24 months.
• Registered healthcare status is advantageous but not essential.
• Right to work in the UK with a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Visit participants in their homes for visits at pre-booked times.
• Take physical measurements such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
• Collect venous blood samples following clinical guidelines.
• Record accurate health data and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide a professional, friendly experience and support high quality research.
