Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of five GCSE passes (A*-C) or equivalent and one year’s experience in ordering/organising parts or stock with computer use.
• Or three years’ experience in ordering/organising parts or stock with computer use.
• Full Category B driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle or evidence of alternative transport.

Responsibilities

• Issue stock parts requested by mechanics and maintain stock levels.
• Order parts, oils and equipment per contract arrangements.
• Operate a computerised stock control system for stock items.
• Maintain inventory of tools and equipment with foreperson.
• Prepare parts for dispatch and handle supplier queries.
• Complete documentation; provide information to the Service Manager.
• Train and supervise semi-skilled staff; promote safety and tidy appearance.
