Job summary

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Storeperson for Vehicle Maintenance to source, order, and issue parts required by the vehicle workshops. You will maintain accurate stock records and support fleet availability.

You will operate a computerised stock system, assist workshop staff, and manage documentation to comply with health and safety and service requirements. Driving duties to collect parts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Issue parts from stock as requested by mechanics.
• Maintain stock at an optimum level to ensure maximum vehicle availability.
• Order vehicle parts, oils and equipment per approved contracts.
• Operate a computerised stock control system for all stock items.
• Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment used in the workshop.
• Prepare parts for dispatch and respond to supplier/workshop queries.
• Complete and cost documentation to meet Vehicle Maintenance requirements.
• Provide information/statistics to the Service Manager.
