Job summary

GAP Hire Solutions in Glasgow is seeking a Fleet Maintenance & Service Assistant to join our Transport Department. You will handle administration of external transport databases and provide advice on transport admin issues, with a focus on accuracy and clear communication.

• Maintain MOT/Goods tests databases and ensure all GAP vehicles are compliant.
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the department.

About the role

Are you ready to bring your enthusiasm, accuracy and reporting skills to a fast-paced coordination role in our Glasgow Head Office. At GAP Hire Solutions, we're looking for a Fleet Maintenance & Service Assistant to join our Transport Department. This is a fast-paced role where you will be responsible for the administration of external Transport related databases and provide advice and assistance on an transport admin related issues. If you have an eye for detail and good communication skills, then this could be the role for you.

The Role

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensure vehicle compliance regulations are carried out on a regular basis in line with company guidelines
• Issuing and controlling fuel cards throughout the Group
• Controlling and recording the movement of vehicles throughout the Group
• Maintaining internal MOT/Goods tests databases and ensuring all GAP vehicles are recorded and fully compliant with current legislation and company procedures
• Providing administrative and clerical support to the department

About You

What We’re Looking for

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work to a high level of accuracy
• The ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
• Previous experience and product knowledge in the hire industry is highly advantageous
