Job summary

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a Fleet Administrator to manage data on vehicles and equipment, ensuring accurate recording and storage. You will support the Team Leader in delivering a high-quality administrative service across the organisation.

The role is based at Power Place, 2 Terminus Rd, Chichester, with full-time hours and some opportunities for remote work. A valid UK driving licence is required to perform the duties.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data handling.
• Excellent organisational skills to juggle multiple information points (vehicles schedules, service records, fuel statements).
• Experience in data management with ability to derive insights for improved outcomes.
• Excellent grammar and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely recording of data related to vehicles and equipment, including maintenance events and cost recording.
• Vehicle compliance document storage and tasks related to assessing ‘whole life’ costs.
• Communication with key stakeholders regarding data required and produced such as compliance paperwork, daily safety checks, fuel statements.
