Job summary

JOBWISE is looking for a Fleet Coordinator to join a busy logistics operation in Appleton, Warrington. You will coordinate vehicle breakdowns, repairs and routine maintenance, support HGV drivers and liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve incidents from start to finish.

You’ll need proven experience in customer service, logistics or fleet administration, strong communication, and good IT skills. A full UK driving licence is highly desirable due to location and transport links.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fleet Coordinator, Fleet Administrator, Transport Administrator, Logistics Coordinator, or related roles.
• Experience in customer service, logistics, fleet or transport environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate vehicle breakdowns, repairs and routine maintenance with external suppliers.
• Respond to driver calls and resolve fleet-related queries within agreed timescales.
• Assess reported vehicle defects and determine the appropriate action.
• Take ownership of fleet incidents, liaising with accident management providers and teams to resolution.
• Update operations teams with repair progress and ETA.
• Maintain accurate fleet records (breakdowns, defects, PO numbers).
• Update and maintain the internal fleet management system.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance records are compliant with procedures and legislation.
• Monitor supplier performance to meet service levels.
• Complete incident escalation documentation when required.
• Support the Fleet Administration team, including holiday cover.
• Stay up-to-date with internal processes and updates.
