Panda in Leeds is seeking a Fixed Plant Fitter to maintain fixed plant and machinery, including conveyors and shredders, to keep site operations safe and efficient. This role emphasizes hands-on work, problem solving and adherence to safety standards.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and keep detailed records while collaborating with maintenance, engineering and operations teams to improve reliability and efficiency on site.

Qualificações

• Experience in plant maintenance or similar hands-on role.
• Knowledge of fixed plant machinery, conveyors or shredders is beneficial.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on approach with willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on fixed plant machinery and equipment.
• Inspect, service and repair conveyors, shredders and associated plant systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, replacements or adjustments to minimise downtime.
• Support preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce breakdowns.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used and maintenance activity.
• Work closely with maintenance, engineering and operations teams to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, safety and efficiency.
• Support a clean, safe and compliant working environment.
