Job summary

Panda is seeking a Fixed Plant Fitter to maintain, repair and service fixed plant and machinery such as conveyors and shredders within our waste management facility in Leeds.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults and ensure safety and compliance with site procedures. Join a team focused on reliability, safety and sustainability, with opportunities to grow practical engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant maintenance or similar hands-on role.
• Knowledge of fixed plant machinery or conveyors would be advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on fixed plant machinery and equipment.
• Inspect, service and repair conveyors, shredders and associated plant systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce breakdowns.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used and maintenance activity.
• Work with maintenance, engineering and operations teams to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, safety and efficiency.
• Support a clean, safe and compliant working environment.
