Job summary

Panda Ireland is seeking a Fixed Plant Fitter to help keep our waste management facility running safely and efficiently. You will maintain, repair and service fixed plant and machinery including conveyors, shredders, and other plant equipment.

This hands-on role requires fault-finding skills, practical problem-solving, and a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in plant or mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of fixed plant machinery, conveyors or industrial equipment.
• Strong fault finding and problem solving.
• Willingness to learn with a hands-on approach.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Qualifications in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on fixed plant machinery and equipment.
• Inspecting, servicing and repairing machinery such as conveyors and shredders.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs or adjustments to minimise downtime.
• Supporting preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce breakdowns.
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs and parts used.
• Working with maintenance, engineering and operations teams to resolve issues.
• Identifying opportunities to improve plant performance, safety and efficiency.
• Supporting a clean, safe and compliant working environment.
