Job summary

Panda is seeking a Fixed Plant Fitter to maintain, repair and service fixed plant and machinery at our waste management site. You will work with conveyors, shredders and related equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

This hands-on role requires practical problem-solving, teamwork and a commitment to health, safety and environmental standards. You will document inspections and repairs and support continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant or mechanical maintenance in a similar role.
• Knowledge of fixed plant equipment, conveyors or shredders is beneficial.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Practical, hands-on approach with willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on fixed plant machinery.
• Inspect, service and repair conveyors, shredders and related plant systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support preventative maintenance to improve reliability.
• Ensure work complies with safety procedures and records are completed.
