Job summary

DHL is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager in Milton Keynes (MK4 3FU). You will lead warehousing teams, manage performance, and ensure safety standards while coordinating day-to-day operations on a rotating shift pattern (Tue–Sat, 07:00–15:00).

Qualifications

Position: Warehouse First Line Manager
Location: Milton Keynes (MK4 3FU)
Grade: RCS. N
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7 - Tuesday to Saturday (07:00am - 15:00pm)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) - Overtime not payable

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
• To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), development and/or succession planning as appropriate
• Support and contribute towards briefing activities such as performance management appraisals, comms zone briefs, PD boards, disciplinaries and grievances, informal / formal conversations
• Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
• Support with resource planning, conducting interview and inductions for new starters

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Previous warehouse management experience (First Line Manager/Shift Manager/Team Leader) is essential
• Previous experience of Inventory Management disciplines is desirable
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
• Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
• Knowledge of MHE operations (holding valid MHE licenses would be desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• IT literate - WMS and Microsoft packages
