Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager in Kegworth (DE74 2BF) to lead day-to-day warehouse operations, drive performance and safety, and coach teams. The role is a permanent contract with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts 7am–3pm or 3pm–11pm.

You will oversee KPI analysis, resource planning and cross-team collaboration to maximise productivity and ensure high standards. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar warehouse or supply chain role.
• People management experience.
• Strong IT literacy with MS Office and WMS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a designated warehouse department, collaborating with other teams to maximise productivity.
• Oversee and promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards.
• Delegate daily tasks to direct reports, monitor progress and meet deadlines safely.
• Monitor, analyse and report on KPIs to drive performance and efficiency.
• Ensure high work standards by clearly communicating expectations and coordinating resources.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage the day‑to‑day operations of a designated warehouse department, working collaboratively with other teams to maximise overall productivity
• Oversee and promote a safe working environment, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards and procedures
• Delegate daily tasks effectively to direct reports, providing guidance, monitoring progress, and ensuring all deadlines are safely met within agreed timeframes
• Monitor, analyse and report on KPIs, supporting management with insights to improve performance and operational efficiency
• Ensure consistent delivery of high work standards by communicating expectations clearly and coordinating resource levels to meet operational demands

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Proven experience in a similar role within a fast‑paced warehouse or complex supply chain environment
• Demonstrated people management skills, with experience leading, coaching and developing teams
• Strong IT literacy, including confident use of Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly at all levels
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards
