Job summary

Capita Fire and Rescue in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Firefighter - Middle Wallop to join a dedicated team supporting Defence operations. No traditional firefighting background is required; the emphasis is on mindset, resilience, teamwork and a commitment to keeping people safe.

You will receive 14 weeks of full-time training at the Fire Service College to build confidence and skills. The role offers competitive pay with progression, holiday entitlement, pension, and wellbeing benefits,

Qualifications

Good level of physical fitness and ability to pass fitness assessments.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure.
Right to work in the UK and eligibility for Security Clearance.
Willingness to complete academic assessments in English and Maths if required.

Responsibilities

Respond to firefighting incidents and contribute to safety and response.
Work with a professional emergency response team in a safety-critical environment.
Support fire prevention and protection activities across Defence sites.
Participate in training and development through the recruit program.
