Job summary

Capita Fire and Rescue in the UK is recruiting a Firefighter. You'll join a team protecting Defence bases, people and critical operations, with a focus on prevention, protection and emergency response.

Training is full and lasts 14 weeks at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh, with accommodation and travel covered to build confidence and readiness for the role. Applications welcome experienced firefighters and newcomers alike.

Qualifications

• Good level of physical fitness; fitness assessments covered.
• Strong teamwork and ability to support others.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to obtain Security Clearance.
• Willingness to complete academic and behavioural assessments if required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and help restore safety quickly and effectively.
• Work closely with a professional emergency response team in a safety-critical environment.
• Carry out fire prevention and protection activities to reduce risk across Defence sites.
• Support targeted safety campaigns to protect people, equipment and infrastructure.
