Job summary

Capita Fire and Rescue are recruiting a Firefighter for the UK MoD environment. No traditional firefighting background required; you'll receive 14 weeks of full training at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh, with accommodation and travel covered.

The role focuses on prevention, protection and emergency response to support Defence capability. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and emphasise resilience, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Good level of physical fitness; fitness assessments (bleep test, ladder drills, etc.) will be supported.
• Strong teamwork and ability to support others.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and help restore safety quickly and effectively.
• Work closely with a professional emergency response team in a high-performing, safety-critical environment.
• Carry out fire prevention and protection activities to reduce risk across Defence sites.
• Support targeted safety campaigns that help protect people, equipment and infrastructure.
