Job summary

Capita Fire and Rescue is hiring a Firefighter to support the UK Ministry of Defence, protecting bases, personnel and critical operations. This role offers a unique environment where prevention, protection and emergency response integrate to support Defence capability.

You will receive full training over 14 weeks at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh, with accommodation and travel covered. Open to experienced firefighters and newcomers alike.

Qualifications

• Good level of physical fitness; fitness assessments may be required.
• Strong teamwork and ability to support others.
• Clear communication skills in English.
• Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and help restore safety quickly and effectively.
• Work with a professional emergency response team in a safety-critical environment.
• Carry out fire prevention and protection activities to reduce risk.
• Support safety campaigns protecting people, equipment and infrastructure.
• Contribute to keeping Defence operations running smoothly.
