Join London's leading and most prestigious Security company as a Fire and Security Service Engineer. Steeped in history, innovation and excellence, Banham is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and dedicated Fire and Security engineer to join our established aftercare service team.

This is a field engineering role to respond to both pre-arranged and emergency response calls. As a highly skilled and dedicated Security System Service Engineer you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to ensure the ongoing functionality and reliability of our customers' security systems.

This role requires strong technical expertise of various intruder alarm systems, alongside working in the "field" combined with excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering superior customer service.

Combined with a Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Security Service Engineer with various security systems.

What are your Key strengths:
  • Proficiency in servicing and maintaining intruder alarm systems whilst also having some knowledge of broader electronic security systems: CCTV, entry and access control systems and fire alarms. (Experience in the wider product range would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided).
  • Evidence Problem-Solving: Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards.
  • Able to diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems, including identifying faults, conducting repairs, and restoring functionality in a timely manner
  • Can recommend and implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security in accordance with client requirements.
  • Monitor alarm signals and alerts from customer sites, investigate any triggered alarms, and take appropriate action to address potential security threats.
What does your typical day look like?
  • Conducting scheduled maintenance visits to inspect and service intruder alarm systems, including testing sensors, control panels, and communication devices.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including maintenance visits, repairs, upgrades, and customer interactions, utilising company software and databases.
Role Requirements:

Established experience as a Security Service Engineer, with knowledge of Intruder Alarm equipment, CCTV, Fire Alarm equipment and Access Control.

You must hold a UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Be able to work 1 in every 6 weekends - day time hours. (Paid Standby and commission on call outs).

Pass an enhanced DBS to facilitate working in Schools and sites that support vulnerable people.

Able to work at height.
