Job summary

Arup is seeking Fire Engineers to join our UK team and help deliver a growing portfolio of high-impact projects across iconic cultural and infrastructure schemes. You will be part of a 400+ strong fire safety skills network across 20 offices and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver fire safety engineering services.

You will be working towards Chartered Engineer status or be motivated to achieve it; we support progression.

Qualifications

• Qualification in fire engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in a fire engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance; awareness of current regulatory regime.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills; collaborative and engaging.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meeting deadlines.
• Proactive in resolving issues and delivering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire safety engineering services for clients across projects.
• Develop and implement fire strategies in collaboration with design teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to compliance with UK fire safety legislation and guidance throughout a project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and the Arup fire safety network across offices.
