Job summary

Arup is seeking a Fire Engineer to join our UK team and deliver fire safety services across a portfolio of high-impact projects. You will work within a 400+ strong fire safety network across 20 offices, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role supports growth, hybrid working, and progression toward Chartered Engineer status where applicable. You will contribute to advanced fire safety research and frameworks within a world‑leading engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, meeting tight deadlines
• Proactive in resolving issues and developing solutions
• Qualification in a relevant subject (fire engineering, architecture related)

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply fire science principles on real projects
• Develop and implement fire strategies with the design team
• Investigate and apply legislation and design guidance for projects
• Support the journey towards Chartered Engineer status if applicable
