Job summary

Arup is seeking Fire Engineers to join our UK team to help deliver a growing portfolio of high-impact projects. You will be part of a 400+ strong fire safety network across 20 offices, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, using cutting-edge in-house tools, and advancing fire safety research.

This hybrid role offers flexible working arrangements and opportunities to develop toward Chartered Engineer status while making meaningful contributions to iconic projects and communities across the

Qualifications

• Qualification in a relevant subject (fire engineering, other types of engineering, or architecture related).
• Experience in a fire engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Knowledge of applicable UK legislation and guidance.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, meeting tight deadlines.
• Proactivity in resolving issues and proposing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement the principle of fire science on real projects via the engineering process.
• Develop and implement fire strategies in collaboration with the design team and relevant stakeholders.
• Investigate and apply appropriate legislation and design guidance for use on projects.
• Support and progress toward Chartered Engineer status and professional development.
