Salary: £46,162 - £48,592 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We are seeking a qualified Fire Electrician to join our London team. The role involves carrying out small works, remedial tasks, and occasional planned preventative maintenance. It is mainly lone working but supported by a team of experienced engineers.

This position is mobile, covering London and the South East Region, with a company van and all necessary tools provided to ensure property compliance and safety.

The ideal candidate will have experience with fire alarm and emergency lighting upgrades and be a qualified Electrician (C&G 2391 approved).

Role responsibilities include:

• Carrying out fire servicing, repairs, and installations in compliance with regulations to ensure property safety and compliance
• Providing clear, timely updates on work progress and advice to customers
• Maintaining accurate daily work records
• Servicing and maintaining systems such as Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Fire Shutters, and Curtains
• Conducting remedial works on fire and life safety systems up to 240v, including Emergency Lighting
• Resolving issues and keeping customers informed according to procedures and contracts
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and managing stock levels
• Responding effectively to complaints and service breakdowns

Skills and experience required:

• Qualified to City & Guilds standards, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Part P & 18th Edition 2nd Amendment 2382-UP), or willing to undertake this qualification
• Experience with emergency lighting per BS 5266
• Inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations (2391-52)
• CSCS card or NICEIC/NAPIT registration
• Proven experience in similar roles with problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Understanding of fire safety issues
• A full UK driving license is required for travel
