Progroup Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced Passive Fire Supervisor / Site Manager for London, responsible for leading passive fire protection works across social housing and NHS sites. You will oversee safety, quality, and programme delivery, coordinating operatives and subcontractors on site.

The role requires a strong ownership mindset, BM TRADA/FIRAS familiarity, and relevant certifications (SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS). A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Supervisor or Site Manager in passive fire protection (fire doors and fire stopping).
• A high standard, ownership, and drive to do things right first time.
• Experience in social housing or NHS environments is essential.
• Solid knowledge of BM TRADA, FIRAS or IFC compliance standards.
• Familiar with project systems such as SimPRO is desirable.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification is required.
• CSCS Card is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of passive fire works across social housing and NHS sites in London.
• Supervise operatives and subcontractors, ensuring safety, compliance and programme adherence.
• Maintain right-first-time quality and sign-off on site.
• Survey in line with BM TRADA standards and company methodology.
• Record activity in SimPRO with photos and data updates.
• Carry out quality assurance checks and obtain site sign-offs.
• Deliver toolbox talks, site inspections and equipment checks.
• Liaise with clients and building users to manage access and resolve issues.
• Engage residents effectively to maximise access.
• Prepare all H&S documentation, RAMS and permits to work.

Passive Fire Supervisor / Site Manager - London (x2 Positions)

Location: London

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Package

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Passive Fire Supervisors or Site Managers to join one of the UK's fastest-growing fire safety specialists. The business partners with over 80% of the UK's Housing Associations and Local Authorities, delivering pragmatic, proportionate fire safety solutions across the housing and NHS sectors. Two positions are available in London with an immediate start.

The Role

As Passive Fire Supervisor / Site Manager, you will take ownership of site operations across passive fire protection works in London, delivering fire door and fire stopping programmes across social housing and NHS environments. You will manage operatives and subcontractors, oversee quality and compliance, and act as the key point of contact between site teams, clients and the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day delivery of passive fire works across social housing and NHS sites in London
• Supervise operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly and to programme
• Enforce a right-first-time culture and ensure quality standards are maintained at all times
• Survey in line with BM TRADA standards and company methodology
• Record all activity accurately in SimPRO including photos, asset records and data updates
• Carry out quality assurance checks and ensure sign-off of works on site
• Deliver toolbox talks, site inspections and equipment checks
• Liaise directly with clients and building users to manage access and resolve on-site issues
• Maximise resident access using best-practice engagement methods
• Complete all required H&S documentation, RAMS and permits to work

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Supervisor or Site Manager within passive fire protection — fire doors and fire stopping essential
• An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly first time
• Experience working within social housing or NHS environments — essential
• Strong understanding of BM TRADA, FIRAS or IFC compliance standards
• Comfortable using SimPRO or similar systems — desirable
• SMSTS or SSSTS — required
• CSCS Card — required
• Full UK Driving Licence — required
