Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Fire Door Project Manager for their Croydon office. The role focuses on Fire Door projects (about 80%) with some Fire Stopping work (20%) across private sector residential, healthcare and education projects in London and the South East.

You will manage multiple live projects, lead a team of around 10 operatives, coordinate labour and subcontractors, and ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining client relationships and quality

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fire Door Project Manager or Passive Fire Project Manager.
• Strong knowledge of Fire Door installations and remedial works.
• Understanding of BM TRADA and/or FIRAS accreditation standards.
• Experience managing teams and multiple live projects.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Fire Door and Passive Fire projects across London & the South East.
• Oversee teams of operatives including supervisors, carpenters, and fire stoppers.
• Coordinate labour, materials, programmes and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Produce reports, project updates and maintain project documentation.

Job description

We are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority.

Our client is a growing and well-established Passive Fire Protection contractor delivering projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Fire Door Project Manager to join their team based out of their Croydon office.

This role will predominantly focus on Fire Door projects (approximately 80%) alongside a smaller amount of Fire Stopping works (20%) across a range of private sector, residential, healthcare, and education projects including schools and hospitals.

Requirements

• Managing multiple Fire Door and Passive Fire projects across London & the South East
• Overseeing projects within residential, private, healthcare, and education sectors
• Managing teams of approximately 10 operatives including supervisors, carpenters, and fire stoppers
• Coordinating labour, materials, programmes, and subcontractors
• nsuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Conducting site visits, quality inspections, and progress meetings
• Managing client relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery
• Overseeing compliance and quality assurance in line with BM TRADA and FIRAS standards
• Producing reports, project updates, and managing project documentation
• Working closely with senior management and commercial teams

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fire Door Project Manager or Passive Fire Project Manager
• Strong knowledge of Fire Door installations and remedial works
• Good understanding of Fire Stopping systems and compliance
• Experience managing teams and multiple live projects
• Knowledge of BM TRADA and/or FIRAS accreditation standards
• Experience working within occupied residential, healthcare, or education environments
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
