Job summary

Progroup Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Passive Fire Site Manager to lead fire door and fire stopping works in Chesterfield and surrounding areas.

The role involves managing installation teams, ensuring compliance with BM TRADA standards, and acting as the primary liaison between on‑site teams, clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in passive fire protection.
• Experience in social housing or NHS environments.
• SMSTS and CSCS Card required.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of BM TRADA, FIRAS or IFC compliance standards.
• Familiar with SimPRO or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day passive fire works delivery across sites.
• Oversee fire door and fire stopping works to BM TRADA standards.
• Lead operatives and subcontractors and maintain programme.
• Record activity in SimPRO including photos and data.
• Deliver toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Liaise with clients and building users to manage access.
• Ensure right‑first‑time quality and sign‑off.

Passive Fire Site Manager - Chesterfield (x2 Positions)

Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Package

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Passive Fire Site Managers to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing fire safety specialists delivering works across Chesterfield and the surrounding areas. Two positions are available with an immediate start, working across social housing and NHS environments as part of a growing regional team.

The Role

As Passive Fire Site Manager, you will take full ownership of site operations across fire door and fire stopping programmes in Chesterfield, managing installation teams, overseeing quality and compliance and acting as the key point of contact between site teams, clients and the wider project team. All activity is recorded using SimPRO.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of passive fire works across social housing and NHS sites in Chesterfield
• Oversee fire door and fire stopping works, ensuring all installations meet BM TRADA standards and company methodology
• Manage operatives and subcontractors, organising workflow and maintaining programme across live sites
• Record all activity accurately in SimPRO including photos, asset records and data updates
• Enforce a right-first-time culture and ensure quality standards are maintained at all times
• Carry out quality assurance checks and ensure sign-off of works on site
• Deliver toolbox talks, site inspections and equipment checks
• Liaise directly with clients and building users to manage access and resolve on-site issues
• Maximise resident access using best-practice engagement methods
• Complete all required H&S documentation, RAMS and permits to work

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within passive fire protection — fire doors and fire stopping essential
• Experience working within social housing or NHS environments — essential
• An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly first time
• Strong understanding of BM TRADA, FIRAS or IFC compliance standards
• Comfortable using SimPRO or similar systems — desirable
• SMSTS — required
• CSCS Card — required
• Full UK Driving Licence — required
