Job summary

Hawkes Resourcing Group is seeking an experienced Site/Project Manager for passive fire protection works in Slough. You will manage day-to-day site delivery, supervise fire door installation, fire stopping and remedial works, and coordinate teams to meet safety and quality standards.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a baseline salary of £50,000 plus a company car and benefits, plus potential flexibility for the right candidate. Start date is October preferred.

Qualifications

The opportunity

Are you an experienced Passive Fire Supervisor ready to step up, a Site Manager looking to progress, or a hands‑on Project Manager seeking your next opportunity?

Hawkes Resourcing Group is recruiting on behalf of an established, growing contractor delivering passive fire protection works within social housing and residential properties.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of day‑to‑day site delivery across fire door installation and maintenance, fire stopping and associated remedial works.

You will be the Senior Project Manager's eyes and ears on site, keeping teams organised, monitoring progress and ensuring work meets the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily delivery of passive fire protection works, including fire doors, fire stopping and remedial works.
• Organise operatives, supervisors and subcontractors to maintain safe and efficient progress.
• Plan labour, materials and access arrangements in line with project programmes.
• Monitor workmanship and carry out site checks, ensuring defects and snagging are resolved.
• Maintain accurate site records, photographic evidence and compliance documentation.
• Keep the Senior Project Manager updated on progress, risks, delays and resource requirements.
• Liaise professionally with clients and residents, coordinating access and resolving site issues.
• Maintain site health and safety standards, including RAMS, inductions and toolbox talks.
• Monitor costs, identify variations and contribute to commercial and progress reporting.
• Support completion, handover and sign-off of works.

About you

You will have practical experience delivering passive fire protection, fire door or fire stopping works within social housing or residential settings.
