Job summary

Checkmate Fire Solutions is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead passive fire protection projects within social housing environments across occupied properties in the UK.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and uphold strict health & safety standards while ensuring regulatory compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within Passive Fire Protection.
• Strong background working on social housing or occupied residential projects.
• SMSTS certification and CSCS (Manager level) with First Aid at Work preferred.
• Knowledge of FIRAS, BM TRADA or similar accreditation schemes.
• Experience with fire door inspections and installations.

• Ensure all works comply with current fire safety legislation, industry standards, and client specifications. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality checks. Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, RAMS, and compliance documentation. Liaise with clients, residents, and stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption in occupied properties. Promote and enforce strict health & safety standards across all site activities. Identify and resolve any on-site issues quickly and effectively. Proven experience as a Site Manager within Passive Fire Protection. Strong background working on social housing or occupied residential projects. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification CSCS card (Manager level) First Aid at Work certification (preferred) Experience with fire door inspections and installations. Knowledge of FIRAS, BM TRADA, or similar accreditation schemes. Experience working with local authorities or housing associations desirable.
