Job summary

Grafton Banks Finance is partnering with an international manufacturing business in East Sussex to appoint a Financial Controller with IFRS expertise. The role leads the finance team, prepares IFRS reporting, and liaises with US subsidiaries.

On-site 3 days a week, with 2 days remote, and a strong pathway to Financial Director in the medium term. The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 6 years post-qualification IFRS experience, demonstrated SME accounts responsibility, and

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA), ideally with practice training.
• 6+ years post-qualification IFRS reporting and leadership experience.
• Experience managing monthly SME accounts and quarterly/year-end reporting.
• Strong IFRS technical accounting knowledge.
• Willing to work on-site 3 days/week in East Sussex.
• Preference for candidates with 5+ years at each previous employer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IFRS monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the parent company.
• Lead monthly management and UK board meetings.
• Liaise and report to US subsidiaries.
• Implement IFRS across all reporting processes.
• Manage auditors and banks communications.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and corporate tax returns; handle multi-currency/ forex.
• Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of 4.

Financial Controller Opportunity - East Sussex

£75,000-85,000 plus 15% bonus, plus benefits, plus 2 days WFH

Grafton Banks Finance is working exclusively with an international manufacturing business in East Sussex in their search for a competent and credible Financial Controller with IFRS experience. In the medium to long term there is potential for this role to become Financial Director.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS reporting to parent company in accordance with group instructions.
• Lead the monthly management and board meetings (UK)
• Liaise and report on the US Subsidiaries
• Implementing IFRS across all reporting.
• Manage contact with auditors and banks.
• Prepare statutory annual financial statements, annual corporate tax returns, multi-currency work and forex.
• Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of 4.

The successful candidate will be

• A fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA), ideally with a practice training
• 6 years+ post qualified experience of IFRS reporting and leadership
• Evidence of holding responsibility for monthly accounts for an SME, as well as quarterly and year end reporting.
• Able to demonstrate strong core technical accounting knowledge - IFRS
• Happy to be on-site 3 days per week in East Sussex. (London based candidates cannot be considered for this role)
• Candidates who have spent 5 years+ with each previous employer is of importance to this client.

In return for your knowledge and experience you will be rewarded with a highly competitive base salary £75-85k base, plus up to 15% bonus, plus benefits and 2 days WFH.
