Grafton Banks Finance is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead a growing international manufacturing SME near Crawley. The role reports to the CFO and manages staff in the UK and abroad, requiring a fully qualified accountant and strong leadership within manufacturing.

The position offers a competitive salary with bonus, pension, and health care, with the role currently almost 100% remote but within a 1.5 hour commute of Crawley. Manufacturing, retail, and FMCG experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with leadership experience.
• Experience as Controller or Head of Finance.
• Manufacturing sector experience essential.
• Willing to operate with a remote/hybrid model within 1.5 hours of Crawley.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of global finance team and delivery across the group.
• Consolidation of monthly group management accounts.
• Preparation of monthly board pack.
• Design & implementation of standardised group processes.
• Coordination of group audit processes.
• Review and ensure accuracy of entity budgets and forecasts.
• Cashflow reconciliation, analysis, and forecasting.
• Group variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Quarterly bank reporting.

Job description

Grafton Banks Finance is exclusively recruiting a Group Financial Controller for a growing and successful international manufacturing SME near Crawley. The role reports directly to the CFO and manages staff in the UK and abroad. The role requires a fully qualified accountant and experienced Controller or Head of Finance with effective leadership experience and experience of working within the manufacturing sector in order to apply. The role is almost 100% remote at the moment; however candidates still need to be living within a maximum of a 1.5 hour commute of Crawley in order to apply. Previous experience of working within retail, manufacturing, distribution, FMCG - a product based sector is preferred.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Day to day management of the global finance team and ensuring delivery across the group
• Consolidation of monthly group management accounts
• Preparation of monthly board pack
• Design & implementation of standardised group processes
• Co-ordination of group audit processes
• Review and ensure accuracy of entity budgets and forecasts
• Cashflow reconciliation, analysis, and forecasting
