Financial Controller required for a 12 month fixed term contract, to support a leading retail business based near Solihull, West Midlands. This role is a maternity cover and will require someone to commit to a minimum of 3 days/week on site for a full year's contract.

As the Financial Controller, you'll be primarily responsible for:
• Overseeing the production of group level monthly management accounts
• Management of the fixed asset register and capex reporting
• Intercompany reporting and reconciliations
• Maintenance of the balance sheet, including movement analysis
• Supporting internal finance functions, including tax, treasury and internal audit
• Preparation of investor relations packs
• P&L review and commentary on divisional profitability

You will need to be a qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA or ACMA) with experience in technical/statutory reporting roles. It would be advantageous to have demonstrable experience in contracting roles, though it is not essential.

You'll need to be available on maximum two weeks’ notice with a view to start in June 2025.
