Finance Controller / Manager - Insurance / InsurTech / ACCA - Fully Remote

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a leading technology provider serving the global delegated insurance sector. In this role, you will manage daily accounting operations, support budgeting, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 3+ years’ experience in an SME environment, excellent Excel and Sage skills, and a proactive, self-starting attitude. You will work closely with senior management, lead year-end audits, and support private equity reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly accounting, reconciliations, and journals
• Maintain cashflow forecasts and financial models
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and MI preparation
• Oversee payroll, VAT, and pension administration
• Lead year-end audits and collaborate with tax advisors
• Drive process improvements and automation
• Monitor costs and variances against budgets

Candidate Profile:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent
• 3+ years relevant experience in SME finance
• Strong Excel, Sage 50cloud, and payroll experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly numerate, organized, and proactive
• Ability to adapt in a growing, changing environment
