A high-growth consultancy in Aberdeen seeks a Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, budgeting, and compliance. The role offers exposure to M&A projects and the chance to partner with senior management in a dynamic environment. The role:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to strategic decision-making in a growing consultancy.
Opportunity to partner with a highly experienced CFO and CEO to drive the business forward, both locally and internationally. In addition to running the finance function the Financial Controller will get exposed to a range of projects, including M&A.
The Financial Controller will play a key role in the development and integration of cutting edge systems and technology, to drive efficiencies across the organisation.
Managing a small but growing team, the Financial Controller will help to build and nurture a best in class finance team.
The successful candidate will be an analytical and forward-thinking leader with a deep understanding of the energy market, multi-entity financial operations, and regulatory compliance. They will partner with the the CFO, and other members of the senior management team to provide critical finance support for business decisions, and operational efficiency across the Group.
Who are we looking for:
To be considered you should be a professionally qualified accountant with a minimum of five years experience in a leadership role. Experience gained within the energy sector, ideally in a consultancy or project-based business, with international operations is desirable.
You should be a self-starter who sees challenge as an opportunity. The successful applicant will thrive on developing processes, procedures, and systems to drive efficiency. You will have a tenacious attitude, able to make decisions, and comfortable with a fast paced and dynamic environment.
